CSI has partnered with the largest battery powerhouse in the world, CATL, providing access to a large set of off-the-shelf battery systems that can be put together to achieve different operating voltages and energy capacities. CATL's batteries currently power more than 500,000 buses and trucks in daily operation with some of the largest commercial fleets.

In addition to battery systems, CSI’s broad line of electric accessories, including chillers, coolers for the cabin heaters, On-board chargers, , DC to DC converters, air compressors for braking systems, and electric steering pumps, further augment the EV products of its OEM partners and optimize them to deliver the best performance while reducing manufacturing costs for the final products.

Mazaika’s 25 years in the hybrid and EV space, plays a significant role in leading CSI’s team to help clients achieve fast-to-market industry leading design and manufacturing goals. He has gathered extensive knowledge in fuel cell buses, a hybrid and EV truck applications. During his tenure at Quantum Technologies, he helped design an electric powertrain for Fisker Karma (now Karma Revero), a luxury plug-in hybrid sports sedan. His expertise enabled him to fuel his vision of reducing carbon emissions by electrifying commercial vehicles through CSI.

“When I first flew into CA, I remember seeing a big cloud of smog created by vehicles. If this was where I was going to live, I wanted to make it better. That was when I decided to boost the electrification of the commercial vehicle space and reduce the pollution caused by vehicles,” says Mazaika.

The CSI team is furthering this legacy. It understands a customer's vehicle goals and specifications. The team consists of people with over 20 years of experience in the commercial EV space and is dedicated to making a difference in this industry.

CSI, powered by its highly-skilled team, can custom design and configure the best battery systems optimized for specific vehicles. It balances how much energy clients want on board, the impact of weight on the vehicle, and the cost of battery systems. These capabilities are especially beneficial for truck OEMs, which look for custom battery systems for specialty applications like terminal tractors that operate at a port for 20 to 22 hours a day and don't have enough time for charging.

CSI is currently working on custom battery packs optimized for the heavy-duty vehicle industry and setting up the manufacturing of battery packs in North America. It is planning to launch the new products in early 2025. It aims to reduce the time to market of its customers’ EV products by at least two years while bringing greater cost-effectiveness throughout the production process.
