Harvest Solar’s mission to empower property owners to take control of their energy needs came to life last summer with J Bar L Ranch, where the team installed solar systems to reduce utility costs and achieve self-sufficiency. The systems were designed to be compatible with net metering, which allowed the ranch to send the excess energy produced to the grid in exchange for credits. Impressed by the quality of the installations and professionalism, J Bar L Ranch hired Harvest Solar again to design and install three off-grid systems in Centennial Valley and sought guidance on funding and future energy goals.
Harvest Solar also later helped the client with a billing issue, where its experts discovered that incorrect meters had been installed on two systems. They conducted a three-way call between the ranch, the utility company and themselves to fix the meters and secure a full refund for the energy credits and demand charges.
