IMTT also maintains a tech-driven approach to managing its bulk biofuels, like electronic authorization for distribution by road and rail. It links the data with clients’ computing systems to support movement scheduling, account reconciliation, stock accounting, and other reporting functions. This ensures safety and emissions control for IMTT-attended and non-attended (driver- driver-controlled) loadings at dedicated and commingled (shared) storage facilities. Its tech-driven approach also allows for standard custody transfer documentation (bill of lading, loading instructions, and export documents), which helps clients manage their fuel supply efficiently.

IMTT recently helped a client set up a renewable biodiesel production plant by working closely with the team to design and set up a new logistics pipeline, from the feedstock collection to the final biodiesel production. Even though IMTT used its existing infrastructure, the company was mindful of using an insulated pipeline to handle the fatty feedstocks and drive the efficient collection of the final biodiesel.
