Solutions for Energy storage demands can be fulfilled with Alternative Energy Storage Methods
FREMONT, CA: A compressed energy storage system draws in air, producing a high-pressure system in a series of huge underground chambers. When the wind speed is lower or power demand surges, the pressurized air, generally mixed with a bit of natural gas, is discharged to power turbines or generators.
Pumped-storage hydroelectricity is generally built to store excess power from the grid. When demand surges, water is permitted to flow from the upper reservoir down to a lower reservoir. The water moves with turbines as it flows to a lower elevation, producing electricity.
Modern Rail Energy Storage, developed by a California start-up, is a device that resources electricity through rail cars. The uncommon device employs excess grid energy to power axle-drive motors on rail cars, driving mass uphill and about gravity to a storage yard. Then, the rail cars travel back downhill to attract energy from the grid.

Pumped Heat Electrical Storage stores electricity by utilizing it to drive a heat pump that transfers heat from a "cold store" to a hot store. The heat pump is flipped, removed from the hot store, and put into the cold store to recover the energy. This produces mechanical work that drives a generator.
Redox flow batteries use chemical decrease and oxidation reactions to save excess grid energy in liquid electrolyte solutions. The most significant advantage of redox batteries is their versatility over lithium-ion and other reliable state batteries.
Electricity supplies a superconducting magnetic energy storage device not as chemical, kinetic, or potential energy but as a magnetic field. The field is formed in a superconducting coil by the current flow that has been cooled to below a critical temperature point.
Energy stored as methane could smoothly be piped or shipped using the existing natural gas infrastructure. As a gas that can be burned to power turbines, methane essentially serves as an energy storage medium in this scenario.
