John Pinson has been named Stanadyne's new Chief Executive Officer.
FREMONT, CA: “Stanadyne is well positioned for growth based on a strong portfolio of product technology supporting the transition to clean-burning hybrid vehicles and alternative fuels," states Stanadyne, Chairman of the Board Anders Pettersson. Stanadyne, a prominent global fuel and air management provider, has hired Dr. John Pinson as CEO. Dr. Pinson follows David Galuska, who has served as CEO since 2014 and will retire on July 1, 2022.
“Dr. Pinson’s extensive industry experience and strong customers relationships make him well suited for this leadership role,” adds Pettersson.
Dr. Pinson joined Stanadyne in 2009 as chief technology officer and has served as president since 2014. In 2021, he became President of the Global Diesel Product Line and Managing Director of Pure Power Technologies. Dr. Pinson began his career with General Motors in the Powertrain and Research and Development departments, focusing on pollution reduction technology. After leaving GM, he served as Vice President, Diesel, and Large Engines, at the powertrain consultancy firm Ricardo Inc.
Dr. Pinson holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Penn State University, a master's degree from Clemson University, and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Stanadyne is investing in products and solutions that facilitate the decarbonization of internal combustion engines to overcome the substantial adoption gap between fossil-fueled and zero-carbon emission cars. In support of the circular economy, the company collaborates with original equipment manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and the aftermarket to manufacture and remanufacture at scale.
