Hydrogen exists everywhere, in the air, and in the water. Hydrogen is widely used in different industries, including for refining petroleum and producing fertilisers. It also can work as fuel while generating zero emissions
FREMONT, CA: Since hydrogen makes up 75 per cent of the cosmos, it plays a greater role in the sustainability of life. Hydrogen may be used to produce energy apart from helping several other living creatures to live. The byproducts of burning hydrogen to make fuel are completely harmless and have no known adverse effects. Hydrogen is typically transformed into drinking water for astronauts on ships or space stations after it has been used.
Reduces Pollution
In a fuel cell electricity is produced when hydrogen and oxygen are combined. This electricity can be widely used for a variety of purposes, including driving an electric motor to generate heat. The advantage of using hydrogen as an energy carrier is that the only byproducts of its reaction with oxygen are water and heat.
Renewable Energy Source and Abundance in Supply
One of the critical benefits of hydrogen as a source of energy is its inexhaustible supply. No other energy source is as limitless as hydrogen, even though it may need a lot of resources to mobilize. In a nutshell, unlike other energy sources, it cannot run out.
Non-Toxic
Being a non-toxic substance it is environmentally friendly and does not cause any harm to human health. This feature makes it desirable compared to other fuel sources like nuclear energy and natural gas, which are difficult to harness safely or exceedingly dangerous. Moreover, it permits the use of hydrogen in locations where other fuels might not be allowed.
More Efficient than Other Sources of Energy
Compared to diesel or gas, hydrogen can transmit a lot more energy per pound of fuel, making it an efficient energy source. This certainly indicates that a vehicle powered by hydrogen energy will cover a greater distance than one powered by an equivalent amount of gasoline. For instance, compared to a traditional combustion-based power plant, which typically generates electricity at an efficiency of 33 to 35 per cent, hydrogen fuel cells have a capacity that is nearly three times higher and is capable of producing energy with an efficiency of up to 65 per cent.
Used for Powering Space Ships
The effectiveness and power of hydrogen energy make it the ideal fuel for spaceships. Its power is so high that it can rocket spaceships to exploration missions very quickly. It is the most secure form of energy for such an energy-intensive task. Hydrogen energy is three times more powerful than gasoline and other fossil-based fuels. Theoretically, less hydrogen is required to complete a massive task.
