The Middle East is replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy to experience economic growth and infrastructural improvements.
FREMONT, CA: Global preference for renewable energy sources is encouraging countries to abandon fossil fuels as a source of energy and generate clean energy. Oil-dependent countries are making a shift to renewable resources. The Middle East is transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy and is seeing its economies improving. The Middle East's geographical features and climatic conditions provide an untapped solar and wind energy resource. Adopting emerging technologies reduces the cost of producing clean energy, making them more profitable alternatives to fossil fuels.
The middle East is receiving investments from global energy industries. Foreign investments have opened up 28 charging stations for electronic vehicles (EV) throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a dealership and service center in Dubai.
Adopting renewable energy in the Middle East is benefiting the economy and quality of life in the following ways:
Economic Diversification: The demand for fossil fuels are decreasing, and the demand for renewable resource is increasing. The shift to the renewable resource market will expand new markets. New construction and engineering markets are emerging and introducing new opportunities. The Middle East is experiencing economic diversification, and its economies are stabilizing.
Job creation: Expanding market opportunities are introducing new jobs and industries. Clean power generation involves more labor. Advances in clean energy will open up Middle East's market to service-oriented jobs.
Energy access: Global preference for renewable energy is simplifying industrial operations in generating clean energy. Industries needed to connect to power grids to harness energy from fossil fuels. Industries can generate clean energy by establishing solar and wind generators in almost any location. Expanding the renewable energy sector can also benefit rural and inaccessible areas.
Health and education: Widening energy access to a more significant portion of the population generates more revenue for businesses and improves the quality of air and drinking water. The Middle East's governments receive more tax revenue to fund better healthcare institutions and education programs. A more profitable economy reduces poverty.
