Solar UV Solutions offers the SunQuest 250—the company's first solar thermal patented product— as a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for large commercial, industrial, and agricultural heating and cooling applications. A solar thermal collection system, the SunQuest 250 uses panels of evacuated tubes with extra coating to harness the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation and convert it into a functional source of heat. The UV rays are attracted to the sputtered aluminum coating on the inner collection tube, where they produce heat. The SunQuest 250 comprises two heat pipes inside each tube, unlike other products on the market that have just one.
The Solar UV Solutions team closely works with customers to understand the demand for heat for a particular application, based on the British Thermal Unit (BTU) demand. The company then sizes the product accordingly, determines the number of collectors to be installed, engineers the system, provides a budgetary quote, determines system payback, sells the product, and installs it.
Notably, Solar UV Solutions subcontracts all its installations to a certified installation team, known for their utmost professionalism and ingrained knowledge in the construction and deployment of heating, cooling, and hot water systems. Walking the extra mile, the company also trains end-users to use the system and derive the maximum benefit out of it. "We deliver a turnkey solution to our customers, giving them the ability to realize a better return on investment," remarks Mr. Frank.
Mr. Frank goes on to explain that there is an increased and growing focus today to reduce the world’s carbon footprint. Most large corporations and countries are making Climate Change Pledges to reduce their carbon footprint, which won’t be possible if they don't address the thermal needs of their factories and industries. The SunQuest 250 plays an instrumental role in making this zero-carbon vision a reality. Solar UV Solutions’ engagement with one of its clients, Western Boone Junior- Senior High School, best exemplifies its value proposition. The client didn’t have access to cost-efficient natural gas, and it was costing them a fortune to heat their premises using electricity. When the client decided to upgrade their swimming pool, they transitioned to the SunQuest 250. With a single system, the client was able to heat the pool, heat the space around the pool, and provide domestic hot water for the entire school. This is all accomplished by using the free renewable power of our sun. As a result, the client has been able to cut their energy costs by over 50 percent, reduce their annual GHG emissions by 169 tCO2 and obtain a 4.4-year return on investment (ROI).
What makes us different is that we provide a solar thermal product that generates heat and not electricity. No other product really compares to ours in the marketplace
