“We know that energy and the environment are closely related, and we believe that energy savings can contribute significantly to mitigating climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” says Joongyong Yi, CEO, Yujin Energy Technology.
Its approach to facilitating energy conversion depends on four pillars; simulation, exergy analysis, process monitoring, and process design. Backed by these pillars, Yujin provides consulting and engineering services that focus on analyzing energy usage throughout the entire production process including utility like steam, water, compressed air etc. It collaborates with clients and understands their current needs and future prerequisites before creating appropriate improvement plans. Once they accept the proposals, it provides engineering services to facilitate reduced energy consumption.
Yujin’s customer-centricity extends beyond improvement plans. It evaluates the outcomes of its improvement plans and suggests iterative changes over the years, enabling clients to evolve seamlessly with the industry. Even after the consultation period ends, Yujin presents robust roadmaps for maintaining energy conservation in client facilities.

Specialized software is used to simulate the exact conditions of equipment installed on a power plant or industrial plant site. Clients can accurately analyze operating efficiency and energy flow charts. Yujin also provides consulting on the derivation of optimal conditions, alternatives for improvement, and rationalization of production processes, thermal systems and utilities, and power plant processes to improve market competitiveness.
Yujin’s competencies proved helpful for a paper manufacturing company in one instance. They were paying $200 million in annual energy costs since 2012. The location and amount of energy loss were quantified and presented using exergy analysis. Through the initial consulting results and implementation, the client could reduce energy costs to 160 million dollars after one year and to 120 million dollars after five years. Currently, they are preparing to consult for process improvement and working to optimize processes through exergy analysis.
The R&D services provided by Yujin to public corporations help them develop and commercialize new technologies, propose and apply plans for optimal process configuration, and develop system improvement measures to maximize profits. It has experience in carrying out large-scale government-sponsored R&D projects, for instance, Development of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage system, Standardization of Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Each form of energy usage can make an impact on the environment. It is important to manage the use of these energies. Yujin is doing its part, contributing to the mitigation climate change and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
